I briefly worked as a taxi driver before deciding not to modify my insurance. I was not allowed to continue working in this manner, and I would not be compensated in the event of a traffic accident. However, I am aware that individuals who work for extended periods of time obtain very different insurance, which is undoubtedly more costly and comes with more restrictions. These individuals are forced to do this because they would not be able to work for Uber otherwise.
