Crypto coin is a crypto currency that has its own blockchain platform, for example Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc. Token is a currency that does not have its own blockchain platform.

All these while I have always thought they where both the same thing. From this explanation I think it would be safe to say majority of the new crypto currency coming up that we classify as new coins are actually tokens

Crypto creation is more difficult because crypto runs on their own blockchain while tokens run on other blockchains. Crypto can be mined and staked. examples of crypto are Eth, Btc, Ltc, ADA, Tron, etc while token examples are USDT, USDC, Aeron, BCH BEP2, Binance USD, Chainlink etc.

Thank you very much for sharing this info, now I can understand the exact differences, will definitely do more findings as regards these to know more.

Very interesting and comprehensive threads. Before now, I don't know that their is difference between token and coin but the thread explains that in clear terms. Token is created on the existing platform but coin is entirely a new creation. This is why the token is common.

I have always believed that there are so much to learn here while earning some bucks. I am saying this because before now I was not able to differentiate between coin and token just as as clearly explained above. Thanks for sharing your thoughts here.

Specific differentiation i have really verified exactly just what i idea i understood for some time currently. Because of the writer of this particular string it has actually embeded my moment.

We keep learning on daily basis , it is better to invest more of your money in coins than tokens based on the definitions I have seen so far here.

Not really. Tokens are also profitable but most of these things depend on what they have to offer as a crypto projects. I don't see any reason why people should not invest in trusted tokens.

a token represents what you own, while a coin denotes what you're capable of owning.
