Well, I did some time ago, especially on Instagram and Facebook, now I don't do it much since I don't use my social networks much, but it was fun to engage with followers some time ago when social networks weren't as toxic and politically correct as nowadays, now I don't feel like uploading content there, I feel more comfortable in the forums.
The primary purpose of using social media platforms is to connect with my clients and customers. Therefore, I must engage and interact with my followers. I not only tham them for following my pages bit also reply to their comments. I even conduct pol;ls and contests to improve engagements
