Years ago when I was into the whole mining rigs, I happen to get my hands on some cards and done a little bit of mining. Unfortunately I was unable to keep the area cool enough after reaching 12 cards, I shut them down and sold them off. Nothing spectacular, but I've attached some photos. Still trying to find any pictures of the bigger setup.

I have been looking online trying to learn how I can set up my own mining rig and start mining bitcoin, however, I have not found any articles, videos that explain clearly on this topic. Well, there are a lot of articles and videos, but I have not found any articles and videos that explain in the layman term. Can you please create an article explaining step by step process, including the investment on equipment and running cost, about how I can setup my mining rig?

Mining is fairly easy if you use a program such as Nicehash (www.nicehash.com)
You will have extreme difficulty picking up latest graphics cards right now unless you are lucky. Currently I am without any cards, so I am unable to demonstrate. Although, it's an easy setup if you want to use NiceHash. (See their video
)

Check out Youtube and search for "building mining rig from scratch" and watch some of the videos. I've been out of the mining business for years now.

I just checked NiceHash. It seems to be using users' computer to mine. They are asking me to download a program to detect how much my computer can mine. I did not download because I hear many horror stories cryptojacking. But anyways, thank you very much for explaining.

I have used NiceHash to mine and many others use it too. Antivirus does detect it as a virus, but it's not. It's a legit mining software. You can manually check your hardware by going to the following link: https://www.nicehash.com/profitability-calculator

Cryptocurrency mining requires the right hardware, software, and a mining pool. It takes a lot of knowledge, guidance, and patience to initialize the whole process.

The following tutorial will help you build a 6 GPU mining rig for mining cryptocurrencies. It is meant for individuals who do not have any experience in building computers on their own.

In this cryptocurrency mining rig tutorial, you will learn:

What is a Mining Rig?
Overview of Mining Rig to Be Built
List of Computer Components for Mining Rig
Cryptocurrencies That Can be Mined Using the Rig
How to build the Mining Rig
Starting the rig
Installing other 5 GPUs

So the whole process of mining is this? No wonder they do tell us that it consumes many energy. It only takes someone that's less busy to go through all these process in order to get a tangible mining done.

You really have some very sophisticated mining rig and I am quite and maze at what cryptocurrency needs to be able to mind them so I would advise you to go back to your mining because it will definitely be profitable these days.

Back then, you can use your PC to mine, I'm taking as far back as 2009, nowadays you need a whole rig of sophisticated processing power and cards.

This is my first time of coming across a mining rig, it is truly great to see it, since you were unable to keep the area cool enough, did the mining rig spoil before you sold them?

No, the cards did not overheat, just the room got too hot for my liking. I eventually sold the cards off for more than I paid for them.

This is commendable. I just want to know how much you purchased this and how much it was able to generate for you on a daily basis, if it was worth it?
Besides which coin were you mining? Because I know that mining bitcoin now would cost a lot.
