On the Tesla website, the Monero group has proposed adding XMR as a payment option. The Monero group proposed that XMR might be a good payment choice after Elon Musk's Tesla Motors hinted that they could start accepting Bitcoin (BTC) payments for their electric cars.

Recently we have heard a lot about Elon Musk and it is no secret that he has taken a major interest in the cryptocurrency world. In fact, much o the prices that we see that are surging at the moment can be attributed to tweets that have been made by Elon Musk showing interest in Bitcoin and Dogecoin.

In a recent news article, it seems that Monero wants Elon Musk to accept the XMR coin as a method for payment at Tesla. This comes after they have hinted that Bitcoin may possibly be a future payment option for Tesla. Do you think that accepting XMR is a good idea?

This coin is known for its anonymous nature, even more so than Bitcoin. So do you think such a reputable business like Tesla will even consider accepting it? And will it be of any benefit to Tesla to do so?
Monero owned XMR coin but the coin doesn't have much value and elon musk has been breaking barriers by making coin popular and adding value to it, just like he did to dogecoin recently,

To be honest I am getting confused with crypto currency. There used to be Bitcoin, Ethereum and some other crypto currency but now it seems that every Tom, Dick and Harry have their own coins. In this forum I have been reading new coins that I have not encountered so that means there are crypto currency being born every week or every month? it is not getting better for me.
There have been a whole lot of them since like forever. It's just that they are so coming into the spotlight and we getting more conscious of their existence these days. It doesn't dispute that there are other new ones too coming up lately.

The possibility of Elon musk accepting monero is quite slim. Probably because of the autonomous nature of the coin and probably because he might want to focus his attention on some coins first but it's his decision to make.

Reputation is at stake here and I believe Elon musk is never going to give them attention at all. They could be some scam platforms and then he will lose his reputation.

Someone as influential as Elon Musk just doesn't accept anything all in the name of cryptocurrency, they study the idea and rationale behind the project before they fully gives it the needed support. Monero should be able to convince him beyond reasonable doubt that the coin has a good project to back it up.

True. Elon Musk's recent interest on crypto has really caused the spikes in the trends. But i don't think this will be for long. Soon they will reach an equilibrium and everything will start taking its own level.

As a business owner if you want a person to buy your product you have to market it well and persuade them before they can get it if he want earlier marks to have interest in his coin, he should do the needful.

I don't think that crypto can ever reach teh point of an equilibrium because that would imply equal supply and demand however i think that with a decentralised market one will always dominate over the other.

They are the ones who will determine if it's worth it having monero coin as a payment method. If it won't damage their image, why not, they can go ahead with it

I think that Elon Musk is very daring when it comes to taking risk on crypto coins and even defying the blatant disapproval of crypto that many people have. So i would not be surprised if monero is considered and used.

I read somewhere that the monero coin is usually used for illegal transactions and this would make it very hard for Elon musk to be part of this coin.

If tesla were to accept any other crypto payment, they'd have to reap benefits from it. For now I think tesla stopping bitcoin payments to their company is a strategic move.

Elon musk's is actually making things very difficult for himself because he is the one that is bringing down the crypto system and everything now is down,he just need to be careful because there are some times that whatever he tweeted will never be taken seriously anymore.

Every business is about expansion and partnerships for the purpose of shearing profits. And monero coin is just trying to make it's hold on some very big fish to see that happen for them

Lol! So Elon musk is now one of this big fish I guess. Sure thing, every business wants some level of expansion to break newer grounds. Hope the union ends well for both parties here

I don't think that's possible because monero as a private coin, already as a project but dogecoin is just a shit coin with no project, elon making it as a means of transaction is a new project for the coin...

Hmm, every coins owner is just pushing for Elon musk to add their own coin as payment gateway for Tesla motors purchase. It is left to Elon musk to decide if its worth it or not.
