The good thing that i feel with these major coins like bitcoin and ethereum is that after investing even when the price does go down you need to be able to have the patience to wait for the price to rise to sell at a profit because these are the two major crypto that all people in this field know about. as a result these are the currencies that are likely to always rise to the top despite the hardships and reduction in price that they may go through. Panic selling is the enemy of nay trader.
Yeah definitely bitcoin and ethereum are the top popular cryptocurrencies now and some other cryptocurrencies also like litecoin, bitcoin cash etc are also less volatile. If the price lowers today, they will rise eventually tomorrow. So panic sell will not only cause you loss but also help the price to go for free fall.

That is why the first rule of trading is to be able to separate your emotions from the trades that you make and ensure that all the decisions that you make is based on the analysis of the market and predefined limits that you set of yourself. Yeah I was also trapped on the dramatic fall bitcoin had about a month ago when it was fluctuating between 10k to 15k. I regret my decision now when I truly understood how to invest wisely.
When the price reached the 15k mark i personally did not expect it to go any higher and therefore i ended up selling my bitcoin then and only kept back a small amount. I missed out on a lot of profit, yet i am thankful for the profit that i did obtain over that time which is a good thing
I guess in the future i will manage it better to avoid the panic scenarios.

I think this is natural to do so. I don't think that anyone had expected the price of bitcoin to reach the point where it is now. And what concerned me was that at the 15k mark there were many whale alerts to show that whales were moving their coins to exchanges. Naturally from this i assumed that to move it to an exchange implies selling potential from whales and i thought a massive dump in the coin was coming from the whales.
