Yes it's very safe to invest in crypto currencies so long as the wallets you are trading with is secured. A friend of mine once got scammed from using a fake Crypto wallet and ever since he's been finding bit difficult to trade crypto.

To me crypto currency investment is very safe and that's if you have a good and secure wallet that you can save your crypto currency coin without being hacked or getting a fake crypto currency.
