The rate at which government policies are affecting the performance of crypto currency is a thing of concern as this is what is making the market not to pick up and do well
I do not see any reason why countries are cracking down on cryptocurrency. If you do not want it I believe that the best thing to do is to increase taxes associated with this assets.
That's the best way to go about it, but the truth is the government don't like it because it would be very difficult to track those that are into fraud and embezzlement of funds
