IMF vs El Salvador

The Bitcoin city that President Nayib Bukele will build is also not going smoothly. And now El Salvador has a lot of debt.
what would you do, obey the IMF and leave Bitcoin or keep Bitcoin as a legal tender?

This is all related to the economy of the country and additionally to the external pressures from nearest countries as you have mentioned and labeled in the article.
 
I think El salvador doing this stunt is too early. I am sure they could have done this after 2025. But they did not. I think they could have been patient with the rule implementation and making penetration easier for other people. But they took the decision overnight. And I think we are going to learn about this from the experience as time goes on.
 
The whole situation is changed now because bitcoin as disappointed Salvador greatly and their projection about the coin wasn't correct.
