ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) mining is the use of specialized hardware specifically designed for mining a particular cryptocurrency. These devices are highly efficient and can greatly increase mining power, but they are also much more expensive and are only useful for mining a specific coin.

GPU (Graphical Processing Unit) mining, on the other hand, uses off-the-shelf graphics cards that can be used to mine a variety of different coins. They are less efficient but more versatile and less expensive.

Overall, ASIC mining is better suited for large-scale mining operations, while GPU mining is more accessible for individual miners.

I guess most of people are choosing GPU mining because ASIC mining costs a lot of money that most of traders has just a PC and connection and wants cloud mining.

Even though you can mine on GPU, these hardwares are not specifically built for mining. ASIC miner on the other hand is a complete mining equipment that comes with ASIC chip, mining software, fan, and power supply.
