Hermez network has been bought by a polygon

There are many different cryptocurrency networks and each of them has their own set of advantages and disadvantages that make it prominent within the cryptocurrency space. In fact it is generally the market and the network that go hand-in-hand when it comes to developing the price of any cryptocurrency coin. For example ripple is able to handle the network and transactions a lot better than bitcoin and as a result people generally tend to gravitate towards ripple for use as opposed to Bitcoin. Recently there was a news article that was published to show that polygon has actually bought out the Hermez network paying around 250 million dollars for the company's network. This is quite a substantial amount of money and this purchase was made using the MATIC token. What are your thoughts on this and why do you think this merger and buy out was so important to polygon? Personally i have never heard of this network before and therefore i do not see the appeal to the Hermez network.

Might not necessarily be the coin's popularity that made them buy the coin. Factors like increasing their customer base or reach; the coin's security, the potential of the coin too.

Most of binance traders shows interests to Cardano and Polygon I think this is new trend for the next few years if customers of others altcoins decrease and polygon one increases so this is common possible.

Seriously, there are so many companies that can offer people good working opportunities but the problem is that most of their services are not available all over the world.

Even though I am yet to make any investment in Polygon Mattic, I know about this crypto currency. However, I have never heard of Hermez. I will have to do some research and find out what this is all about.

The amount may be substancial as you said. But I believe polygon found out something in it for it to be bought and this can eventually bring profit...

I am also just hearing about the two company for the first time, hermez company being bought over by Ploygin is a good news for the company of polygon, i hope the amount is worth it.

I'm concerned that the most important thing right now is for this project to actually be something that will pay those that invested their time and money needs and not something that will end up being scam in the future.

Matic is a very strong project that have been growing continuously and I belt for them to buy the network means that they are expanding and needs to have other network for their growth.

Example of this was during the 90's when yahoo was planning to buy google, even though then google refused to sell to them and since them google as taken over yahoo completely. But in this case polygon was and to but of hermex.

There are many companies like this that ave held out and that saw a large profit later on in their career and i think that it all come down to having the confidence in your idea to not sell it for anything less than you think it can grow into.

Yeah, example of this occurrence which I mentioned was due to the fact that google have the confidence of where they are going.. but discipline also matters alot...

Of all my dealings with crypto currencies so far I have not come across the above mentioned crypto currencies before, if not for reading about it here. Indeed there are so many coins coming into the market recently and I think more are still coming. Thanks for sharing.
