Few weeks ago , ethereum 2.0 was launched , and this was predicted to help work on the high gas fee with ethereum.

However from my own side , I don't think that the gas fee of ethereum has been reduced.
How is it from your own side ?

I don't think it has been activated. Staking was still going on the last time I checked and it's yet to get to the desired amount required to activate it. Don't know why it's taking this long.

I think the transactions on the network is obviously increasing every day so the gas fees would continue to increase at a larger extent and the ethereum 2.0 which is used for staking hasnt gotten more users transfer

Going by the time this thread was created, how about the price of the so-called Ethereum 2.0? although I've never heard of such before. What is it like, how does it affect the existing well known Ethereum coin? Is there any Cryptocurrency site one could buy it from?

I was seriously hoping on the slide down of ethereum fee as an anticipation of the launch of the 2.0 but I have not fee the impact of the 2.0 so far, I am still waiting believing it will affect it soon, because too much fee is discouraging me from a lot of transactions.. I really need a reduction in fees.

I think we were able to make a conclusion on this topic the last time. As at the time this post was made Etherum 2.0 was still at launching phase so no assertion could have been made. But since this year I have not seen any significant increase on Gas fee. I don't think the upgrade led to any increase whatsoever.

At the moment I have not seen any change in the transaction fees. However, I did read a few articles and stated that they would like to reduce the transaction fees in the future and they would like to make it a standard rate for all the transactions. This of course was met with a lot of resistance from the miners. However perhaps this is something that will come in future developments that happened within the Ethereum code and its network.

The current fee system is auction-based and has some limitations. The EIP will introduce a base fee per gas adjusted for each block by the protocol depending on the network congestion (in the same way that the mining difficulty changes depending on the total hash rate). Moreover, the block gas limit will not be anymore fixed but dynamic. Users will always have to set a tip, called gas premium, in addition to the base fee. As the base fee is burnt by the protocol, miners only get the gas premium.

This implementation has the objective to reduce the gas cost volatility in the long term.

Well , the few ethereum transaction that I carried out few days ago , I didn't see much gas fee as before . It was quite considerable and the transaction was very fast ,unlike before where I have to wait for 30 minutes or hours .

I don't see it also reduced here. I tried to send my FEY token that was given to me buy faucetpay, but the gas fee is 0.01 ETH, which is $10 or more

Underscoring Ethereum’s ongoing uptrend are developments around Ethereum 2.0 (ETH2). Also dubbed “Serenity,” ETH2 is an upgraded version of Ethereum that will overhaul how network nodes reach consensus and how transactions are processed.
While largely perceived as a technological upgrade for the blockchain, analysts say ETH2 has the ability to drastically affect the value of ether (ETH) over a longer period of time.

True , ethereum reached new all time high after the launch of ethereum 2.0 ,and with the way things are going presently , we will see more all time high from it.
There has been a faster transaction in ethereum recently.

I doubt if anything good has happened to Ethereum as concerning gas fees since the launch of Ethereum 2.0. It's a failed project to me because gas fees are the same or even higher than before. I tried to transfer Ethereum and bat tokens to my wallet. Transaction fee was more than 50% of my total funds.

I recently did a transaction with Ethereum and I just noticed that the transaction fees has reduced drastically, I never knew that Ethereum has launched a new and improved version 2.

The new version as been on project since last year though I never knew it has been launched, I think the effect of ETH 2.0 Is to enable the gas fee of 1.0 be reduced. Or vice versa.

I do not know the reason why ethereum as not long there perceive Version 2.0 and if they have not been able to worked on it and launch it up to now means that they are not quite serious about reducing their transaction fees and making their transaction to be more faster.

The truth is I have not really used the Ethereum 2.0 so I can't really give a good review about the gas fee charged by the crypto currency. But I know that the older one is not good for transaction

I have not used ETH 2.0 therefore, I do not know what's the big dfference between ETH 1.0 and ETH 2.0 in terms of transaction speed and transaction cost. I will like to know more on this topic
Same here bro, I haven't really given thoughts about the Ethereum 2.0, but a lot of people claims it has more potential than ethereum.
