Have you ever took inspiration from another sites code? Maybe the layout, certain features and more. I know some people have created sites after using another site. I don't know whether that's something people can do. I'm sure there is some copyright involved, so you may have to reach out and request permission. And some may even require payment.

If you do decide to use someone's design/layout/coding for your site, please let the site owner you're taking from know and make sure to get permission. That is key.

Yes, of course. I do this all the time. Anytime i start a site, i have to look at what my competitors are doing and the codes they use and implementation strategy.

Yes of course I believe it is normal for you to take idea or inspiration from other sides to create your own website. This will make your site more unique.

as i'm making desktop apps more than anything else, i surely get inspired by some modern desktop apps, especially the ones that are used modern flat design

Well this is probably meant for code writers, programmer, website designers ... Though I believe yes because everybody has a point of encouragement which can also come from other peoples achievement.

Yes I take a clue from my competitors website coding before I will start up my own so that I will know what my competitors are doing to make their website to stand the test of time.

When i see how websites i designed especially Bizdustry I really take inspiration on how it is created. Its a wonderful work put in place by its owner Alexander.

I don't think most site owners out there know of any of this, because so many site out there looks the same bad I don't think one tell each other before they use one another design. But it would be better if they should let the real owner of the design know about it tho.

I don't see why you would want to copy someone's else theme or web design, there are thousands of layouts and designs out there. I agree with the last part it is important to seek permission before taking it.

I am not a programmer, therefore, I do not look for source code for inspiration, however, I am a wordpress designer and I take inspiration from the niche and design from other websites.

Well, I'm not a programmer and I don't look for source codes for inspiration, however when I venture into this aspect and I see something that is worth emulating then I would follow suite but in a novel way.
