Has anyone ever stole from your pension? Is it possible?

I am always paranoid about losing my money, especially in my pension and retirement funds. With that being said, is it possible that people can steal from it? Has anyone ever stole from your pension? If so, what happened? Did you get your money back?

If you have your pension money as hard cash, it can be easily stolen. If your pension is in a bank account and you give your bank details to a stranger, your pension will be stolen. Other than these two conditions, I do not think your pension can be stolen.
