I had no idea there was usually flunctuations in the gas fees of ethereum, I know the gas fees are high though and that has been a major issue for most people when. Investing in the coin due to the high gas fees involved.
Earlier in the day, I was sending $3ETH from one wallet to another and the fee was $1.36 and I was thinking to put it on hold since it was not urgent. A few minutes later, I went through the process again and the fee was $0.45, so I concluded the transaction.
Does this mean that there are fluctuations in transaction fees on ethereum just like on bitcoin network?
Yes, your suspicion is correct. Network fees usually differ, during the day is usually more fees because there are larger volume of transactions during the day than night
I don't think so because these fees would already be calculated in my opinion. Though there's a case for the fluctuating prices and if this is the reason they give, it would only mean that they're not concerned with their customers and are only out to rip them.
