I haven't lost crypto myself, but then again I haven't really invested in much. But for those who have invested in crypto, have you ever lost any by mistake? Or maybe any crypto go missing? I'm just mostly curious about what happens if crypto goes missing out of your wallet, without ever knowing? What would one do to sort that? Can it even be sorted?

Yes, unfortunately, just once, It was when I had about $ 5 in MANA (Decentraland's cryptocurrency) that I earned in a faucet, which I ended up sending on the wrong network, I do not remember exactly if it was in Ethereum blockchain or in Polygon but it ended up being lost and never reaching my wallet, a shame.

The only way that I've lost any of my cryptocurrency is whenever I am trading and the trade didn't go my way. Apart from this, I've not lost my cryptocurrency. I make use of Binance and I make use of Binance Pay ID to send any cryptocurrency to anyone.

I lost cryptocurrency very funny because I copied what I thought was my wallet address but it turned out that I had a completely different address in the clipboard and without checking I sent the amount to someone else's wallet and now I carefully check the addresses

This is something very common that happens especially when you are a beginner, something similar happened to me, only I sent the funds to another network within the same blockchain, it was not a lot of money, but I quickly learned from my mistake.

I once lost $5 worth of Bitcoin when the price per coin was $7000. I lost access to the wallet and I could not retrieve my assets. This happened when my old phone crashed and I had to use a new phone. I lost my data.

This is one of the reason why I try as much as possible to backup all my data that are very sensitive to my Gmail because it will always give me access to any information that I saved in the Gmail whenever I log into the account in any other phone or laptop, so it makes a very difficult for me to forget or lose something that I saved there.

Do you mean you save your data in Gmail. I find it is too risky to backup data online because once your account is hacked, you will lose everything. I do save my data safely but sometimes problems occur when I change my devices.

I recently lost cryptocurrency. I requested a payout from a website. My wallet does not accept a certain amount of cryptocurrency (i.e. the amount must exceed a particular threshold). If you try to deposit amount lower than that, then you will not receive it. This is how I lost money.

Are you kidding me? This is a very serious hand wringing from the website. This is something they can set up to allow you accumulate your earning in cryptocurrency till you reach withdrawal limit and not this kind of madness. Btw, what's the name of the website?

I've never lost my cryptocurrency by mistake or knowingly. I'm very careful whenever I'm doing any cryptocurrency transactions to avoid making a mistake because I know from the first day I was introduced to cryptocurrency, if you lose your coin, there's no way to recover it. I will start using a hard wallet soon as I'm told its better than using exchange wallets.

Yeah, I meant by Gmail and there's nothing to worry about when it comes to Gmail getting hacked because that's not going to be possible. The kind of security layers I use on my Gmail, even Google will find it difficult to hack my account 😂.

I have not had that experience of losing any of my crypto currencies by mistake. I have had some lossss through trading which I consider to be normal and what can happen to anyone that is trading the coins too, but not about losing the coins by mistake.

Losing your cryptocurrency by trading is not anything like losing your cryptocurrency by mistake because whatever you're in the market trading, there is always a possibility that the trade will be in your favour or go against you with price movement in the market. So, whenever you are very fortunate that price movement goes in your favour, you are always going to be successful with your trade.

I lost my cryptocurrency once. The wallet I use has a minimum limit in the sense that if I send a low amount of currency below the required level, then I may lose the coins. This is how I lost my cryptocurrency when I send a small amount of coins.
