Anything is possible; you won't believe that how things change and how it replace others more powerful than the before in this digital world, so absolutely it can be passed and in future in this digital world another not equivalent but a more powerful can be launched and could it's take place.

Now is the era of Cryptocurrency, no doubt. Cryptocurrency is reigning at the moment, at the mean time i see no integration of any digital currency that is totally different from what we see in Cryptocurrency that will usurp it at the moment. But never say never, with time the unbelievable might turn believable. Their might be an awesome type of digital money that can usurp the current digital currency, being "Cryptocurrency". Maybe then, the world can integrate it as the best form of online and offline means of payment. Let's just have glimpse of hope that in the next 50 years it can come into fruition.

Do you agree with me that another different form of digital money might emanate and usurp the current digital currency?? And become the world accepted go to payment method for online and offline??
Lol. If another digital currency were to come up in the future to replace cryptocurrency what will it be called outside the cryptocurrency we already call what we have now? I doubt the possibility of such. Except it not digital in nature.

It will be a miracle for another type of from digital currency to replace the cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrency on its own is the only digital currency for now that can be called a digital money and not all cryptocurrencies would reach the level bitcoin and ethereum has gotten to. For a new digital currency to replace the cryptocurrency it has to have its own software and run a different bandwidth more complex than how the current cryptocurrencies operate. We await to see the next move of computer software developers, who knows anyone could be the next Satoshi.

I can not even fathom how it will take, form or look that a different currency apart from the we known crypto currency will emerge and take over the existing ones. What can only come to my mind is that it might be possible for another crypto currency to emerge and take over bitcoin. The name digital currency has made it globally acceptable that I doubt if there will be another currency apart form the ones we have now.

Of course anything is possible but I don't see that happening in the next decade. If you watch the pattern in which the world changes, you will know that new things will always come out to replace the old ones so it is a matter of time.
Let's fold our arms and watch.

It's in indeed possible to have a different digital currency that might over turn cryptocurrency in the far future. I don't see that happening any soon. But we don't know what is going to happen the next moment as technology keeps improving and minds are working fast into bringing new innovations.

The Future of Cryptocurrency is that some economic analysts predict a big change in crypto is forthcoming as institutional money enters the market. Moreover, there is the possibility that crypto will be floated on the Nasdaq, which would further add credibility to blockchain and its uses as an alternative to conventional currencies. Some predict that all that crypto needs is a verified exchange traded fund (ETF). An ETF would definitely make it easier for people to invest in Bitcoin, but there still needs to be the demand to want to invest in crypto, which might not automatically be generated with a fund.

Well thats very true and possible, never say never and nothing is impossible well I think the time is nearer it may not be up to 50years before another digital currency may come in line and topple cryptocurrencies, well no one ever thought that their would be a thing as Cryptocurrency but it is here and it is very likely that more digital currencies are coming.

Is possible for another digital currencies to overtake cryptocurrency in as much they offer better value snd solve dome existing risk in cryptocurrencies trading and investment.
But for now Cryptocurrency is not bound by geography because it is internet based; its transactions are stored in a database called blockchain, which is a group of connected computers that record transactions in a ledger in real time.

Not in the nearest future though, crypto currency has recently just been accepted as a Fiat money globally and I think this is going to last as more people would be investing but I think another coin or fiat money may outshadow crypto currency just as crypto took place over money.

I don't think so Bitcoin and other crypto currency have come to stay, in fact crypto currencies have come to stay there is nothing you can do about it unless the owner of Bitcoin was paid to close the currency and stop it from existing anyone, that is the only way Bitcoin will crash.

I don't believe there will be another replacement to cryptocurrency cos looking at the way crypto is going, I would say there is no limit to what cryptocoins will become in the future but for now and the next 20 to 40 years, I can see blockchain advancing and crypto currency will be accepted worldwide.

Before we take a closer look at some of these alternatives to Bitcoin, let’s step back and briefly examine what we mean by terms like cryptocurrency and altcoin. A cryptocurrency, broadly defined, is virtual or digital money which takes the form of tokens or “coins.” While some cryptocurrencies have ventured into the physical world with credit cards or other projects, the large majority remain entirely intangible.

It looks very impossible because in what category about characterictics the digital currency would be based on because that is the first thing to actually consider i think , because crypto currency have been staying for a long time so i dont really see any competition to it for now i think

We wait and see what the future holds. New ideas can com up anytime that are way better and more efficient. We just wait and see how things turn out. But now at least I can say that the future of cryptocurrencies in general looks very promising.

I don't think that there will be any other kind of digital currency that can replace cryptocurrency because let's face reality, there are a lot of cryptocurrencies in the market and most of them are trying to develop their currencies to be of more value than the other, so nobody will think of creating any other digital assets other than cryptocurrency in fact, most people will be planning on starting up their own cryptocurrencies because we are in the era of cryptocurrencies.

Yes, digital coin is set to stay for many years. I believe their are people still trying to create their own digital coins in order to become tradable. I believe changes will be made around the digital coins in the future to improve more and correct the doubts around their long term use and benefits.

I don't know because things can happen at any time, maybe it can happen maybe with time digital currency will take over the cryptocurrency, because no one can tell about the future.

we are in the digital world and I don't think there is any other money that will come to replace the digital currency, if there is anyone it will always be on the digital form, maybe another cryptocurrency with no transaction fees and no price volatility, is just a suggestion.Because a cryptocurrency with high transaction fee cannot be used for buying of goods and services like the normal currency.

In this era of technology, nothing is impossible. No one would ever thought prior 2009 that something like bitcoins would ever come into existence. So I won't doubt it if anything like that still come into place in the nearest future.
I agree with you that the world is very unpredictable and we can't doubt the existence of any other form of digital payment that can replace people currently in the future.
