Well, I am mostly with investing in liquid asset. That's because I can convert my liquid asset into cash immediately. If you want cash for emergency but do not have emergency funds but liquid assets, you can sell your liquid assets. I find liquid assets better than building savings including emergency savings and retirement savings.
