Do you believe that girls should get their ears pierced at a young age?

I don't know why this happens, but in many families where there are girls, they pierce their ears at a very early age. I don't really understand the need for this because sometimes children don't even know what it is and I would rather leave it to their personal choice in adulthood

I don't understand it either, I see it as normal to do it when you're about to become an adult, for example at 16 years old, but not at 9 or 10 years old as it usually happens with many girls nowadays, I don't understand it.

In our culture, both boys and girls get ears pierced when they are still babies. However, once the toddler age passes, only girls continue to wear earrings.
