When it comes to buying electronic items, I buy branded items. However, when it comes to buy clothes, shoes, even food items, I do not always go with the brand. in fact I buy from unknown brands or unbranded item. I don't see why I should spend $100-$200 on Dr. Martin when I can get similar shoes for $20-$30.
