I think the difference between total supply and circulating supply is quite simple and straight forward. Circulating supply is the number of the coins available for the market.

Nice analysis dear. Circulating supply is just the total amount if coins mined and distributed in the crypto ecosystem. You can say, the number of mined out coins that is circulated. Wile the total number of coins supplied is simply the coins that is circulated or burn out coins in the market.

The two options in the crypto statistical.order looks the same, their is no much difference. The circulating supply are just the mined coins to is on distribution while the total supply, is the total amount of coins mined that is tradable.

I want to commend you for taking your time to analyse and differentiate between circulating supply and total supply of crypto currency. These are really some of the terms one should know as crypto traders or investors. I have really learnt from the explanation above. Thanks for sharing.

The circulating supply of crypto currency is the maximum number of coins of any crypto currency available in the market. The number increases when a new coin is mined and the number decreases when a coin burns. Total supply of crypto currency is the maximum coins that can be mined and will be supplied in the market.
Have a look into circulating supply (available in the market) for some of the top crypto currencies:
Bitcoin: 19 million
Ethereum: 114.4 million
Bitcoin cash: 19 million
Litecoin: 66.4 million

Take a look ay the total supply of top crypto currencies:
Bitcoin: 21 million
Ethereum: No, maximum limit set
Bitcoin cash: 21 million
Litecoin: 84 million

What will be the price of bitcoin after 21 million bitcoins are mined?
I think that once it reaches the total supply that there will be a major rise in the price because there will be no more supply that can be added and therefore if the demand rises so will the price.

Circulating supply is the amount of coins or tokens that's been mined or generated. It's the approximate number that's currently in public hands and circulating in the market. Total Supply: The amount of coins that is already in circulation new mined coins which are not in the market is the Total supply.

The circulating supply has to do with the total number coins available in the cryptocurrency market which is ready for trading or transactions while the other deals with the total number of coin which has been mine.

If the scramble for bitcoin is as high as this now when the total coins haven't been mined, I assure you that the price of bitcoin would be well over $150,000 when this is finally concluded because it'll be scarce and be in high demand.
