Libra was a blockchain project proposed by Facebook with an aim to launch Libra crypto currency. Currently, Libra has been rebranded as Diem and according to one report, Diem will be available for a small group of people to test it later this year. Diem is proposed as a stable coin. Earlier it was said that Diem will start testing in the middle of 2021 but it is already August and still there is no authentic news on the testing.

I did hear about facebook launching crypto currency, however, I did not know it was named libra and later rebranded diem. I will have to do a research on this coin.

Facebook is just not serious about Libra coin coming live in the Cryptocurrency market. This news of facebook owning their own coin have been heard for nearly two years now. And they haven't still developed it to become tradable.

facebook is serious, but sadly a lot of companies, including paypal, visa and stripe pulled out from the project therefore, it got delayed.

Is diem is going to retain the stable nature of Libra , I don't think that it is going to survive at all. They should make it volatile and am certain they won't have to seek for investors.

Stable coin?.... Which country coin will it be pegged to if its a stable coin. Meanwhile the Libra coin which should have been launched what as been delaying it....

Am pretty sure Facebook did not take Libra coin serious that is why they have to change the name, well I hope it work this time around

I think there is something fishy from this project because I don't see any reason why a project that is yet to be unvealed will be rebranded. It's either Facebook isn't getting it right or they are hiding information from the general public.

I don't think there is any need for a coin for the platform and even if there is, a non stable coin would be better and likely attract more investors than one pegged to the dollar.

Facebook is not building the coin for Facebook purpose they are building it to be like other cryptocurrency out there. Their first failure was because they wanted to make it stable coin

Once Diem is launched people can buy diem to use Facebook advertising or send money to other users directly without using third party services like paypal or even card. Since this is a stable coin, we have nothing to lose.

Facebook vis really doing a good work and having its own currency would certainly be a wise decision because people who do business with Facebook wouldn't need to make use of other currencies but it would also facilitate it transaction with it's currency
