Can you run two mining programs at once?

I feel like running more than one crypto mining program at the same time could be possible, though I'm not sure if it would affect your profits in the end. Mining cryptocurrencies requires a good amount of computing power and resources, so dividing that among multiple miners might decrease the hashrates for each one, cutting into your earnings potential.
Let me know if running two mining programs together on the same computer is recommended or will it significantly reduce performance and profits?
 
I believe a person can run more than one mining programs but I don't know if it would work on the same laptop or mining machine, may if on the same machine it would be different time.
 
You can mine multiple crypto currencies at the same time, however, you will have to use software that has features. Multi Miner is a popular tool to mine multiple assets and you can use it with ASIC miner, as well as GPU and CPU.
