There's no way the government can charge Bitcoin users directly, but it can be done indirectly.
They can charge them indirectly by asking the wallet companies to pay certain amount to the government as VAT.

If the government of a country are actually serious about taxing bitcoin users or cryptocurrency users in general, I think it will be an easy project for them because they have the resources to compel this cryptocurrency exchange services to comply with their are rules and laws so that they can actually tax cryptocurrency holders.

I can say it's very possible if government want to be taking taxes on every one using Bitcoin but it won't only Bitcoin but all the any kind of crypto currency. Therefore, government want to do that it will be through a transportation of cryptocorrency they would be deducted money with charge fee, that action will be agreement a wallet management and government.
I am also of that simply because there is nothing that the government want to do if they put their mind to replace that they won't be able to do because cryptocurrency has the ability to be able to be tracked so there's no way that the government cannot tax everyone that uses cryptocurrency.

I think you forsee this coming when you put up the write up, because today the bearish started with the news of how the US president are imposing tax on asset holders.
That is never going to make sense honestly as I think they should allow individuals trade without paying any taxes since it's a risky venture m

Lol... I think it one way of making more revenue and invite for the country. And they only impose tax on asset hold not traded asset so based on the value of that asset at the time.

It is digital currency that is not under the radar and control of the government. The government can only impose tax on what they can monitor and control.

Even with the kyc, it is not still going to be easy as not every platform require the kyc verification process and only the popular ones do so.

Do u think gouverments are able to impose taxes on Bitcoin users or can users easily evade taxes ?

Well, it's not really possible right now for the government to tax bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies because it's not a centralized currency and that's why they are banning it.

The government would only be able to charge crypto traders when they are able to regulate crypto currency in their respective countries, you cannot charge someone for what you have not control over

If governments want, they can esily levy tax on bitcoin users. But governments in some countries are already taxing crypto trading. For instnce, in the US you will have to pay tax when you are trading.

They will mainly concentrate in wallet and exchanges but they cannot tax user because cryptocurrency transaction is encrypted.. that is what the United States was planning to do some few months ago which lead to a serious decline in both cryptocurrency and stock market as a whole.

Government cannot charge when you are just holding coins, just like government cannot charge tax on your share investment. However, if you are trading, government can certainly charge tax just like with share trading.

This reason you just suggested made me just realise that this is another reason why governments are seriously kicking against cryptocurrency because they can't tax it.
It's a very good means to make people free of some financial burdens placed by government.

I think that it will still be easy in order to evade tax however i think that this is unethcal and therefore i think that it is up to the person in order to try and make sure that they are declaring their earnings on these coins.

I don't think government can tax bit coin users. I feel this is one of the reasons some government are against bitcoin because they can't control it unlike flat currencies.
