Bitcoin Halving is an event that is reduced by half (50%) of the Bitcoin mining reward that occurs every 4 years.

The Bitcoin halving is a process that would normally take place during the dip because you are not expected to make much profit to what you are making when the market is favourable.

The next bitcoin halving is in May 2024. Because of having event people say it is no longer profitable to mine bitcoin.

In Bitcoin halving, the reward that are given to miners are reduced by 50%. Any miner that was able to add a block to the Bitcoin network would only be rewarded by half of the token.

The halving is an event of the Bitcoin network that occurs every 4 years or more precisely every 210,000 blocks in which the rewards to the miners of the network is divided in half compared to the reward they received in the previous cycle, thus making the network scarcer and increasing the difficulty of the network and therefore the competition in it.

Well, I have always heard that people always make profit during the halving. Is that true?

While the halving event will reduce the block reward for the miner, the history tells us that the halving event will followed by the pricer gain for bitcoin. Therefore, even when the mining rewards go down, people will profit after the halving. The next halving will give a 3.125 BTC reward to the miner.
