I just have a general question on bass drum technique. When playing quarter notes on the bass drum, do you guys prefer using the heel up or the heel down technique. I find it quite annoying playing with the heel down technique because i cannot get enough power into each note while if i play with the heel up technique, the power is there but then my foot starts to hurt after playing for really long periods of time at a fast tempo. I would just like to hear your opinions on this. Thanks in advance!
