Concerning if cryptocurrency and bitcoin are the same thing. Well, it is funny people get mix things up and get confused at the end. Cryptocurrency is the genaral name for all digital coin that we have presently in the world and bitcoin is a name of one cryptocurrency, which means bitcoin is a type of cryptocurrency among all other that we have
