Crypto investors in simple language can be interpreted as people who buy crypto with the aim of keeping it for a certain period of time, to get profits in the future. The types of crypto investors are not only novice investors, seniors and whales, but based on the terms that I met in the crypto world, I summarized and collected them so that 6 types of crypto investors were formed as follows:
1. Novice Investor
Novice investors are very easily influenced by FUD and FOMO, they will always monitor crypto prices, try to read charts, or analyze prices, but novice investors will easily panic if prices decline.
2. Millennials
Similar to novice investors but millennials tend to follow or be influenced by crypto celebrities or famous people on various social media, and hope to become millionaires in a short time.
3. HODLer
HODLer is a long-term crypto investor, generally more senior, expert and professional compared to Novice investors and millennials, has mature analysis, strategy and calculations.
4. Early Investors
Early investors are those who had the opportunity to buy crypto when Bitcoin was first launched so the price was very cheap ranging from $1 to $100.
5. Whale
Whales are big investors can come from individuals, groups or from institutions. so their crypto transaction activities will greatly affect the market price. It is said to be whales if it has at least 10,000 Btc.
6. Pump and Dumper
Pump and Dumper are investors who buy new coins in large quantities at very cheap prices and the market cap is still low, even these coins are often unknown. After that Pump and Dumper investors will do promotions on social networks, crypto media, forums, etc., the goal is to pump up the price, because there are many buyers, the price goes up. If their target price has been reached then Pump and Dump will immediately sell their crypto at a high price.
