Would you be a private investigator?

Would you ever want to be a private investigator? I don't know the rules on how one would take a job like that, but I always thought that PI's were either previous police officers/detectives who no longer work their old jobs. I imagine not everyone can become a PI, especially people without no training in criminology and police work. Do you think you could be a PI?

I do not have an interest in this kind of career field. In my teenage, I used to read detective fiction and I found the private investigators' job very interesting. Sometimes I was also very good about finding clues, however, the job never interested me
