Affordable housing property

Is it a good idea to invest in affordable housing? I was thinking about helping my local community by establishing a tiny home community of sorts, and I was thinking to make the houses or tiny houses affordable housing, so more people can afford to live in them. Do you think it's a good thing to invest in terms of real estate?

I think it is profitable to invest in low cost property compared to expensive property. That's because if you own affordable property, you can easily resell it, or even rent out because you have lower rent.
