What's the legal process to deal with squatters in your country?

Squatters for those wondering, is a person or people who decide to live in a house or property illegally. They either find abandoned properties and break in, or they are past tenants who won't leave and have overstayed their time to leave. In some countries it requires the police to be called, and sometimes it requires that the owner goes through the eviction process, and that can take a while. And they get to stay there for a period of time until the eviction notice is up.

Anyway, what's the legal process for dealing with squatters in one of your properties?

If you have land ownership you can easily evict the squatters from your land. If you cannot do this by yourself, you can even get help form police. However, if the problem is very old, for example these squatters are there for many years, you might need a court order.
