Living a healthy life is the demand of millions of people worldwide. When searching for longevity, there are things we need to know, things to eat, and some of the lifestyles we need to adapt to increase the chance of living a happy and fulfilled life.
As there is advancement in medical technology , the life expectancy of people has increased significantly in the last few decades. Unfortunately, however, smokers have less life expectancy than the average individual due to Smoking. As such, there are things we need to do that may increase our life expectancy; these are below.
1) Focus Mainly on Fruit and Vegetables
There are different types of vegetables and fruits available depending on location. Vegetables contain essential nutrients for proper body cell formation and improvement. In addition, vegetable contains elements that reduce the risk of cancer, heart problems, stroke, and Brain decline.
Improving fruit and vegetable consumption keeps the body in better condition, which reduces the rate of early death and promotes longevity. Also, studies have found that taking a healthy diet reduces the risk of early death by 18%
2) Avoid Smoking
Smoking has numerous connections to early death and a reduction in life expectancy. There is a link between smoking and lung cancer, one of the leading causes of death among smokers in many countries around the world. Numerous disease associated with Smoking includes the following:
a) Heart-related disease and infection
b) Diabetes
c) Stroke
d) Immune system deterioration, arthritis, and also fastened the aging process
3) Reduce Your Fat Intake
Too much intake of fat can have dire consequences on the body. Too much fat is stored as triglyceride, which is potentially dangerous to the heart.
Extra fat may be deposited in the arteries, which is the primary cause of blood clots, resulting in stroke and possibly a heart attack. Reduction in fat intake will add up to longevity as the risk of developing fat-related disease will reduce
4) Constant Exercise
Exercises are fundamental; it helps supply the body with excess energy, burns fats, and is suitable for the heart and other vital organs of the body.
Exercise is observed to help reduce blood pressure, is Good for mood improvement, and is generally a perfect way to Battle cardiovascular disease.
5) Avoid too much alcohol
Too much alcohol is harmful to dedicatepartst of the body. Studies have shown that active consumption of alcohol could increase your risk of developing low blood sugar. The effects of alcohol are usually directed toward the pancreas, liver, and kidney. Alcoholic effects on the pancreas and liver might lead to slow or improper function of these organs, which might impair their function and increase the risk of developing diabetes which is usually a result of the body's inability to maintain sugar levels due to damage to organs responsible for these activities.
The alcohol effect could also be observed in the nervous system as follows.
1) Leads to memory declination
2) improper thinking and rational decision making.
Conclusion
Lifestyle changes are the only way to longevity. Avoiding things that fasten the aging process is the best option. This could be in the form of food, drink, or activities.
