Do you ever lend money to other local businesses?

If you run a business with other businesses nearby, do you ever lend money to some of them? Maybe it's to help with expenses or other costs. I think it's great to put money back in local business. Would you do this if you ran a business near many others?

I have never lent money to other businesses, however, I have lent money to friends and families to start or manage a business and when I gave them money, I had a clear term, if they could not return on x number of months they would have to pay interest.
