The Government is trying hard to find ways to regulate a decentralized currency. Do you think that Bitcoin, itself, will ever be regulated? Of course, the centralized exchanges can be regulated, additional KYC added, etc, but what about BTC itself?

In my opinion, because of the decentralized nature of Bitcoin, it cannot be regulated by anyone, prices will move according to supply and demand, so what the government can regulate are elements outside Bitcoin such as exchanges and wallets that require KYC. Also via the internet the government can block some crypto sites.
Most people are involved in exchanges and wallets means by another term you need to pass by bitcoin regulation by using a wallet and apply for KYC to avoid account interruption of services.

I don't think Bitcoin will be ever regulated, however, I do believe crypto companies, exchanges and trading platforms, for example, will be thoroughly regulated.

Bitcoin was introduced as borderless mean for economic freedom, it is reserve in El Salvador and CAR. What more regulations are needed?

Needed? I don't think there should be any regulations on crypto. I think the government has their hands in too much of our money already. How many times has our dollar already been taxed?

Income Tax when you earn it.
Taxed when you spend it.
Taxed on every bill.
Taxed at end of the year.

That's how they enjoy perks and freebies. And also bribe the voters with something that people will spend in tax.
Bitcoin is for economic freedom.
