I've always asked myself, why don't companies (AMD & Nvidia) make GPU's that are specially made for mining and not for non miners (gaming & workstation users), this way, they could save users from lot of problems such lack of stock and people avoiding buying used GPU's (since mining GPU's usually get bad fans because they are running at max speed 24/7).
I remember Nvidia made something while ago, it's called Nvidia P106 (GTX 1060 6GB's equivalent) that was meant for mining, but stopped making them anymore, what do you think could be the reason?

It's probably because it's getting too hard to mine cryptocurrencies these days, it's just not as profitable as it used to be for most people.
Well, there are still ASICS you can use like antminer to mine bitcoin, litecoin, etc with if you want to.

Yeah, but the majority of small miners don't really buy very professional machines like antminer, they usually buy dozens of GPU's, that's why companies should take that on consideration, so miners should leave gaming gpu's in peace

Actually, Laptops and desktop are not designed for individual mining of cryptocurrencies as they tend to exact alot of pressure on the system, This is the major reason why the company that manufactures these devices don't want to include these mining part that are so needed for mining as they tend to overheat the system.

Mining with your device like android phone, desktop and PC computers isn't the best idea of mining Cryptocurrency. You will only mine little fractions of satoshis if you're mining for Bitcoin. The best way to mine Cryptocurrency is to join group of mining pool and share mining block and profits that comes through it after contract.

You both didn't understand what's this thread about, i was asking why the companies don't make specific graphic cards for mining, so miners can use them instead of regular cards that are meant for gaming, streaming and workstation duties

As a the time Satoshi created BTC mining, technology hasn't improve or advanced the way it has now, hence you need plenty power to mine.

Now even with advanced technology, creators of coin still want to follow the same crude way of mining.

These guy who take a cue from HTC and their mining phone, this will make things a lot easier.
