What will happen if Bitcoin lateralizes for a long time?

Imagine that we stay in a sideways market for many years, most people who are investing now cannot conceive it, but it has happened more times, over decades, what could happen to Bitcoin during that time? during which the halving does not have the effect that everyone thinks it will have and the price spends years lateralizing in a range without making any exponential rise? Could Bitcoin withstand that boredom? Would people get tired and migrate to another asset? what do you think? I think that in that case, Bitcoin could lose a lot of strength and a lot of institutional support as well.

If Bitcoin were to undergo lateralization, for a long time l think it would likely indicate a period of relative stability in its price and trading volume. This could result from various factors such as increased adoption, regulatory clarity, or a shift in market sentiment. Lateralization doesn't necessarily mean stagnation; it could pave the way for the next phase of growth or serve as a foundation for broader acceptance and utility.
