This is just a general question really. What was the biggest failure in the cryptocurrency game? I don't recall most of the past currency that came out. I remember Dogecoin, which I don't think is active anymore. But I could be wrong of course.

Anyway, what were some of the failed cryptocurrency? Did they get bought up maybe? Did people lose a lot of money because of it?

Tenant tokens on a blockchain - like for ex. ERC-20 tokens on Ethereum blockchain have high potential for extortion as token makers pre-designating huge pieces of tokens for themselves at that point offering lumps of their tokens to examiners at beneath the market costs.

Markets will in the long run awaken to this and rebuff such conduct.

There are so many failed cryptocurrencies, some even failed right from launching them. Personally, I see dogecoin as tethering towards that category. I prefer to dwell on the successful coins.

I don't really do coin and am not an enthusiast of any one. I just don't like any of them just because it's a pump and dump market. Investors will pump the market, spread news and people will buy at the end of the day, they will withdraw their money and dump the coin. This happens to Bitcoin also

The most failed coin is ethereum cos people had high hopes for it
ethereum is still the second top coin in terms of market cap, and with the eth 2.0 upgrade, I don't think you can call it a failed coin.
btw I'm also gonna go with ethereum's dao aka Genesis DAO aka The DAO as the biggest failed cryptocurrency.

The biggest failed cryptocurrency is The Billionaires Coin (TBC), it came as a major contender of bitcoin but went on a mirage within a short period of time. I invested heavily on it, because I think it was going to rise like Bitcoin and others but reverse is the case. I was even asked to subscribe for new wallet with fiat money or bitcoin. Then, I asked them why? Since TBC is also a coin, it must be used to transact any business we want. But the admin insisted that, only bitcoin and fiat money is allowed.

The biggest failed cryptocurrencies for me would be, Dogecoin and Electroneum. I invested into these cryptocurrencies and it kept going down instead of increasing after so many years.

Another failed one would be Onecoin. I don't want to start talking about this Onecoin for now.

Onion, NEO, and Gencoin, Bigcoin a lot of such fake coins come to market every now and then. The thing is that a lot of cryptocurrency which rely on the investor money are going to be failed over a period of time. You should think about the cryptocurrency that can work open and also dont get manipulated by corporations that way you can find what is genuine.

So far , there are tons of coins in existence up to thousands. It will be difficult to ascertain the biggest failed coin. There are only few coins that have not meet up to people's expectations , example is doge coin .

Dogecoin, as it was somehow destroyed by itself. I know I saw it when it came out, and even at my age(15) back then I was like "They aren't serious in doing this, this looks so much like a scam." . First impressions are important people, sometimes it really is make or break on the judgment of the book cover.

I agree with you, before i was really into dogecoin because it's cheap and easy to obtain but after that one time that it rise.. we still haven't seen any improvements on it's value. So right now I don't have any high hopes for this coin but i keep earning them just in case.

I think that should be spacebit
This cryptocurrency is one of those that received the biggest publicity in 2014. The team behind the crypto had ambitious plans of making electronic currencies accessible to all the corners of the globe. They even went ahead and launched nano-satellites that were supposed to act as the supportive infrastructure for their great cryptocurrency.

I didn't hear of spacebit untill now , I have been thinking of doge coin because I expected that by the value of the should have risen , at least competing with the likes of ethereum, litecoin and Bitcoin casy but it is still battling at $0.01 despite a ,100% rise in the last 48 hours.

Ripples is currently looking like a failing cryptocurrency right now due to their court case that was instituted against them by the US security exchange commission. This will be the biggest failure ever for a Cryptocurrency if ripples lost the court case against them, but I hope they win the court case because I have great love for ripples xrp.

If the ongoing court process regarding XRP turns out to be negative, the largest cryptocurrency to fail will be XRP.

In addition, it turned out that the reason for the disappearance of the majority of cryptocurrencies (about 63%) that failed in the past 8 years was the abandonment of the project.

The average duration of such products in the market was expressed as 1.6 years. In these projects, it is stated that after a while, the trading activity does not exist and is reset.

It is noteworthy that the projects that disappear in the second frequency are projects that are called fraudsters or scams. For this reason, it is really remarkable that the percentage of failed cryptocurrencies is close to 30.

For me it is tenant token. There are a lot of failed coins but this particular coin affected me the most, as I had high hopes on my investments. It started off nicely with so much promise. Many had invested and the management seemed so genuine. Along the line, the story didn't go as planned.

I don't have much to say about that but from what I knew, bitcoin cash and Zcash are the biggest cryptocurrencies that fell down drastically. In 2017, bitcoin cash was trading at $1200-1800 and fell down to $200 and it's now restarting. Investors that invest in bitcoin cash on 2017 suffer a very big loss and that's why it's always advisable to invest what you can afford to lose.
