What is Zcash?

Zcash is a privacy-focused cryptocurrency, it is a cryptocurrency that works under the proof of work protocol just like Bitcoin, Monero, Bitcoin cash or others, its limit is also set at 21 million just like other cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Zcash was conceived in 2016 and since then it has not gotten much adoption, but many privacy enthusiasts still use it to stay anonymous on their transfers, have you ever used Zcash?
 
I know Zcash but I have never used it. In fact I have never used any kind of privacy coins. I understand why some people need to use privacy coins, so I believe privacy coins can be useful for transactions as well as investment.
 
Yes, in fact I think that in the future they will become more popular with the arrival of CBDCs and the digital identifier, these currencies will be like a life of escape from so much control, at least I think so, they are a good alternative, the problem is that they can gradually remove them from the exchanges, but surely there will be places to do peer to peer exchanges.
