In the crypto world shilling is a process where people, especially influential people such as celebrities, social media influencers, entrepreneurs, etc. promote a coin telling his/her followers that he has a genuine interest in the coin he/she is promoting. I have not been a victim of any of these "promotions" but I have seen many famous people do this and then it turned out that it was all a scam, like what happened with the metaverse and nft project that Kun Aguero promoted, I would not invest in nothing that a famous person not related to the financial world promotes
