This is a new term to me. While I have my crypto investments and I am up to speed with most things happening, I am not very knowledgeable about wallets.

What is the difference between a hot wallet and a cold wallet?

Which is safer and more secure?
 
Hot wallet is the wallet that is connected to internet for functionality, for example mobile wallet, web wallet, etc. Cold wallets are the wallets that are not connected to the internet, for instance hardware wallet.,

Due to the fact that they are not subject to the same threats as online wallets, cold wallets are thought to be far more protected than hot wallets.
