The government should give out free crypto to citizens

Do you think your local government should give its citizens a small amount of crypto? I think it'd be cool if the Government tried to bring out their own crypto. But, instead of forcing us to pay, they give it to the citizens as a way to grow the currency and expand it. Do you think something like that could work?
 
I don't think this is possible because most governments don't support Bitcoin and even less support other cryptocurrencies, so this is very unlikely to happen, at least in those countries with anti-crypto governments.
 
Governments around the world are not involved in creating their own crypto, governments do not have their own crypto, how can they give free crypto to their citizens? Well, sure some governments are involved with CBDC, this is very different from a normal crypto coin or a token.
