Have you ever lost access to a Crypto Wallet, where you misplaced your 12 phase word, or 2FA authenticate method? How much money did you lose, and was an attempt made to reset the account credentials? Were you successful in doing so?

I am a user of the Atomic wallet mobile application, a few months ago my mobile phone was broken and I changed to a new one, but after installing the Atomic wallet, and opening the wallet (I saved the password and 12 phase words). And Restore from backup, but "imcompatible mnemonic phrase. "
So I lost about $ 60 and I was unable to restore my old account.

Yeah that was few months ago, I didn't have any idea on what the wallet was for or the 12 digit phrase and so I just signup and when I changed my phone I decided to retrieve my wallet but I couldn't remember the phrase and so I opened another one and stored the phrase this time and luckily, I didn't lose any cash cos that was my first time.

When i first used atomic wallet, actually that was the first wallet i've used that requires the seed and mnemonic phases and i wasn't aware that i need to save it since there's also a password i thought that's it. Ended up having to reset my phone and i wasn't able to recover my wallet.. good thing i only lost $5 worth of nano coins

Some of few years ago I registered on trust wallet and I bought etherum and bitcoin from trust wallet, I never knew that my 12 phase words were very important to me. In fact it never occurred to me that I would be given 12 phase words. Maybe I didn't paid attention to it perhaps. Until date I couldn't access my wallet, so painful.

I saw that there was approximately 30 USD remaining in today's exchange rate in my Coinbase account, which I have not used for a while. However, this balance is the sum of my other sub wallets.
About 2 years ago, Coinbase terminated the use of common wallets and announced to withdraw by a certain date. I just noticed it because I didn't know.
I just found out that there is a tool to withdraw this balance on the Github forum. However, something like 3 keys etc. is requested. I couldn't quite figure it out. Is there anyone who can know and help in this matter?

Considering the quantity of missing cryptocurrency out there, people have begun offering services to help the Prodigal Cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin return. These include data recovery specialists and even hypnotists. But it’s never 100% guaranteed that they can help.

If you lose a device with Cryptocurrencies stored on a hard drive, there is a way to restore it apart from you managing to find it again.

If a device has been destroyed (e.g. thrown into a landfill), it’s also almost possible to get it back.

I can never forget my first encounter losing a seed phrase to a Cryptocurrency wallet. this was a bitcoin cash wallet obtained from read.cash, an airdrop website. I was not pained at all because my wallet was actually empty. so it wasn't really something painful.

This has happened to me in the past. The first time that I downloaded a wallet upon entering the crypto world, I was eager to try crypto and as such I did not note down the twelve word recovery phrase. Therefore when I had reset my phone I was unable to get ahold of my funds from the wallet again. I lost close to around 40 dollars, which I had earned from faucets, and which had taken me just over a year to be honest which was quite disappointing.

Fortunately, no, I haven't lost any money. However, recently I lost all of my notes that includes my passwords, phrase, pin but there's no money on the wallet that I have lost my seed phrase on, anyway. So technically, I didn't lost any money. It's just frustrating that I lost my passwords, usernames, and sites' name that I visit.

Losing one's wallet can be extremely frustrating. I can't imagine building up my wallet in a gradual process and it disappears through thin air over the night. It's more like one's saving got drowned. It's quite disheartening.

The Bitcoins never disappear, but if you lose your wallet, then you lack the keys necessary to actually use those Bitcoins. So although the coins do not disappear, they are effectively removed from the economy since you cannot spend them. This is why it is important to backup your wallet.

My friend recently had a situation like this, he misplaced his keys to the wallet, he tried all his best just to be able to recover his wallet but all his efforts were in vain.

The most painful aspect of the whole thing is that he had Bitcoin worth $109 in the wallet, this made him so frustrated with cryptocurrencies in general till this time, he hasn't gotten another wallet, he has sworn not to use cryptocurrencies ever again.

Yes I had once lost access to mew (My Ether Wallet) , I didn't find the recovery phrase of my wallet anywhere. Luckily I had only around $10 worth Erc0 tokens which I had earned from airdrops before.

I never have such experience before and I try as much as possible to avoid every situation of this happening. I don't store most of my cryptocurrency keys online. They are stored offline in a safe file which can easily be recovered.
