How much control do you have of the crypto bought from PayPal

You can buy crypto on PayPal, well some. You can buy Bitcoin, Litecoin, etc. But I heard recently that you don't have much control with the crypto you buy. Is that true? I sold whatever crypto I had a while back, and didn't mess with it much.

What control do you have?

I am not very familiar with PayPal because it is not accepted in my country and I don't think there is a way I can be able to bypass it so I just make use of cryptocurrency

I have not used the PayPal services because it is restricted in my country. However, I believe that people trade cryptocurrency using the PayPal platform because it is now included or incorporated into it.

I didn't even know you could do this through PayPal. I will have to look into this. I mean I personally wouldn't just because they could easily block you from accessing your money. It is just too risky with how the company is these days.

I honestly do know know how much control one has with the crypto one buys on PayPal. I do not know much about PayPal because we do not have access to it in my country.

Once you purchase by using PayPal, it doesn't make any difference as you are holding or trading on Trading platform and you have same control on crypto so you can relax and do whatever you want to do.

Personally I have not bothered about how to buy cryptocurrency on PayPal and leave it on the PayPal for them to manage it for me because I prefer making use of my cryptocurrency wallet Binance or Coinbase to buy and trade my cryptocurrencies.

PayPal can be funny with some decisions that I won't want to take a risk with buying crypto coins from them. I mean it is not something that I will want to do even for a short-term to avoid getting one of those limited account bot messages from them.

Before PayPal officially came out recently to support cryptocurrency by launching their own stable coin, there's no way in hell I would have been interested in getting PayPal cryptocurrency on the application but now, everything have completely changed. As long as I can buy their stable coin in Binance or Coinbase, I will make use of it.

Crypto features (buying, selling, receiving, sending, and holding) on PayPal are limited to certain countries. When paypal introduced crypto, they were only allowed to buy crypto through Paypal balance and sell crypto and receive payment on their account. they did not allow to be transferred to an external wallet or receive from an external wallet. They have gradually changed their policy, and hopefully, they will start allowing people from all over the world to use crypto through paypal account.

From what I was able to gather so far, you can't move the cryptocurrency that you bought on PayPal to external wallet. It's only on your PayPal account that it's going to be. They will help you to manage the account. I don't know if that's going to change now since they have launched a stable coin.
