Another misplacement of coins happened to me recently, when I was transferring funds from a different wallet that uses smart contract on its platform. I don't really know which wallet uses smart contract or not. I sent my Ethereum coin to a wallet that doesn't feature the smart contract. Unfortunately my coins got stacked at the blockchair network. It didn't go through, that left another soured feelings in my life, I lost total of $25 worth of Ethereum. Because, i couldn't know which wallet consist of the smart contract features. I don't think I will be dealing with anything that has to do with Eth in my crypto adventure.

I also had a very similar problem to be honest. A couple months back i decided to make a deposit into the yobit exchange platform in Ethereum. This was my first transaction with Ethereum and as a result i was unaware that these happen over smart contracts. I lost a considerable amount that was around 0.2 ETH, which was all of the funds that i had at the time and this was demotivating. Are there options when you transact with crypto that show if it should be a contract or not?

That is my question since I encountered same issue with you. The only smart contract wallet I know about is trustwallet.com. That is where i was transferring my Ethereum coin to another local exchanger wallet in my country " I never knew the wallet is not a smart contract bound wallet. That is how I lost my $25 worth Ethereum.

Actually , am hearing about smart contract ethereum wallet . Who is the owner of the ethereum address that you sent the ethereum to ?
The little knowledge I have about smart contracts is that one is notified about the fact that the receiving wallet is smart contract , and can't be recovered .

I'm still the one that owns the both address. I was transferring from a trustwallet.com platform to my local crypto wallet in order for me to withdraw my funds into my local bank account too. I never knew what smart Ethereum contracts is all about. Even up till now, i don't know how it works too.

The mistake is from you somehow , perhaps I can help you trace what happened . Which local wallet are you talking about ,and have the sending wallet confirmed that the coin has been sent ? , You know there used to be several confirmation.

I'm using my country's local wallet called nairaex.com, so I was transferring the Eth coins into the nairaex wallet through trustwallet. Up till now, as I'm talking to you is hanging on blockchair platform. I was deep saddened about the incident, I vowed to myself never to use Ethereum for any transaction after losing my $25 worth of Eth.

I can feel your pain bro, I have lost my ethereum too but not to a smart contract, I think I was trying to exchange ethereum to another token or coin, I lost it till date and every since then I stopped using anything that deals with ethereum.

I still prefer Tron smart contract, it is still affordable and I don't need to spend much on like ethereum that charges high fees for every transactions

Okay, that is a bizarre feeling to my life. I don't think I will be using Ethereum any longer for transactions or savings again. That disappointment left a soured feeling in my Cryptocurrency career. In fact I don't want to deal with any coin that has to do with smart contract.

I can help you check if the money has entered your wallet or not . You can pm the receiving wallet ethereum address . Or you can do it yourself using etherscan .
Is possible that there is congestion in ethereum network delaying the transaction

But I have been into Etherium for about three months now, and one way or the other we are faced with either sending Etherium to a friend or receiving and before this is done we must first have a wallet Adrea's, so I will study and learn more about this smart contracts wallet in etherium

Are you sure, even without the smart contract network attached to the local wallet I used to transfer the funds that I can track and reverse back my coins, using etherscan??

Yeah i agree with you on this point. I too, after my experience, have decided to stay away from smart contracts, however this has also caused a certain degree of uncertainty even when making other transactions as well. Of course this may not be the case with other transactions, however the feeling that you get when you have a crypto experience such as this is quite lingering.

At least you shared same view with me, seeing how smart contracts Cryptocurrencies rip people off. That's why I prefer Bitcoin, Litecoin, Bitcoin cash etc, for transactions. Because those coins doesn't support smart contracts.

Etherscan will tell you if the money enter the wallet already ,and is waiting for confirmation ,or whether it didn't enter at all .
This is will give you the final answer to your confusion . I hope it won't be lost forever

I think it has to do with the transfer protocol of the hosting wallet. For instance you can send BNB using BEP SC (binance smart chain) or ordinarily BEP20 protocol. There is ERC20 protocol and recently TRC20 protocol for transfers on ethereum and Tron blockchain respectively. This are some of the red flags to look out for. Sorry for your loss.

I have heard multiple times about ethereum wallet and bitcoin wallet and about cryptocurrencies but I have not tried any of these personally. So I don't know a lot about them. That's why I mostly avoid these threads.

Which payment gateway do use to receive your payment here online?? Bitcoin and Ethereum have ways been a mainstay in the Cryptocurrency chain market. I love transacting through Bitcoin than Ethereum, based the issues I had back then. Transferring my Eth coin to a non_smart contract wallet, costing my whole coins worth $25 to go in tatters.

my first transaction with Etherium smart contracts wallet wasn't too good
This was my first transaction with Ethereum and as a result i was unaware that these happen over smart contracts. I lost a considerable amount that was around 0.2 ETH, which was all of the funds that i had at the time and this was demotivating. Are there options when you transact with crypto that show if it should be a contract or not

That's what I'm still finding difficult to figure out. I'm looking for a solution over discovering a smart contract Ethereum and non_smart contract Ethereum. The feelings I got losing my $25 worth of Ethereum is a soured type.
