Effect of advertising

Advertising can have both positive and negative effects. On the one hand, it can raise awareness of a product or company and generate interest in what they have to offer. On the other hand, it can be intrusive, misleading, or even offensive.

The end goal is usually to get to as many people as possible. There may be bad apples out there who go to cause trouble, but I never really had many issues like that myself. Most time I promote my sites and get a decent amount of traffic, but i don't ever deal with issues because of it. That is I haven't yet.
