It is pretending mining in the half of the case so it is not working in most of cases so they use the hash rate for other users for paying you and then suddenly stops paying this is the sad truth.

From my point of view and experience I say no, I was scammed in two cloud cryptomining sites and I would never trust them again although it was not much money what I lost there served as a lesson for me
