Balancing CPM, CPC, and CPA Ads

Some of the most common ads you can use on your sites are CPM (cost per 1000 impressions), CPC (cost per click) and CPA (cost per action). With CPM, you earn a certain amount per 1000 ad impressions, with CPC, you earn from every legitimate click, and with CPA, you earn from every action on your ads (product purchase, for example). Do you use all of these ads on your site? Do you value some ads more than others?

I used Adsense along time ago and I'm quite sure the money was coming from clicks, not impressions. Anyway, the model I had going there was a small amount of very targeted traffic that was clicking on job ads.

With Adsense you make most money from ad clicks, but you can also make money from impressions. If you receive a lot of views on your websites and there are no clicks on ads, you will still earn from adsense. There are also affiliate networks that pay you for impressions
