Why is most states and the federal government of Nigeria finding it hard to pay pensioners

It's really unfair that Federal and local government of Nigeria find it difficult to pay pensioners. Bad goverance and corrupt leaders are the cause of these problems.

The state and the federal government are finding it difficult for them to pay the pensions because or due to mismanagement of funds. Corruption everywhere, everyone just looking out for their own pockets selfishness and no check up

Nigeria is an extremely poor country, at least in comparison to the size of its people, which is expanding. Every time there is an allocation, the government deducts money for projects and salaries, leaving only a small amount. I believe this is why many pensioners go for weeks or even months without receiving payment.

We all know that Nigeria is the giant of Africa, blessed with so many resources . But because of currupted leadership and bad governance, Nigeria looses it intergrity. I can openly say that Nigeria is finding it hard to pay pension because of corruption and bad governance

A lot of them believe that pensioners are not part of the active work was and as such they can do them whatever they want and there will not be actions such as strike.
