Where to start affiliate marketing?

Amazon is my go to when it comes to affiliate marketing, but I think most sites that allow you to buy/sell items, also has an option for affiliate marketing, well not all, but some.

I think Etsy has an affiliate marketing option, and I have been meaning to make a blog just promoting fun and creative things on there. Like what Dude I want that and This is why I'm broke.

Affiliate marketing is not and never that simple but if you own a website or blog you can get started but what I will advice you is that if you don't have a good source of traffic which will help you with your promotion don't go any affiliate marketing you will fine it very hard to make a sale and generate commission

I was discussing with a friend of mine last week and he pointed out that it is actually very good to make use of Amazon as your affiliate marketing program but when it comes to using Amazon, it's that they don't really pay much but you are guaranteed of making money from their platform.

It's the same thing with almost all online jobs where freelancers make money from, there's a lot of competition now in every sector. You have to offer something very good and unique to stay relevant.

Well, I must say that affiliate marketing is competitive due to many different reasons. First of all, it is quite competitive because you have to create a website in order to promote products. This would be easier if you have a website with a lots of traffic. However, creating a website that generates a lots of traffic is the real deal.

Well, that could be a good way to start but it's actually not my favourite because the competition in these places could be very fierce. The social media handles/platforms could be a viable alternative to this and as you grow you could consider these aforementioned options.

Before choosing any kind of affiliate program, it is always important to do a proper research about the affiliate program itself. This also includes conducting research about payment methods and product policies. However, these are secondary things. Initially a person must struggle to get more and more organic traffic to his blog in order to increase sales.
