What's the difference between affiliate marketing and dropshipping?

Yes, both of them are different. When it comes to affiliate marketing, you tend to sell goods and earn commissions for that. As far as dropshipping is concerned, you tend to sell goods online directly to a customer through a vendor.

One of the difference in the two,is that in dropshipping you are responsible in the generation of your link,promotion of your products and how you wants it,then fix you price,but in affiliate marketing you just get the commission after you have introduce a customer to the merchant.

having enough traffic is important but it should be targeted traffic. When you are promoting something to people who does not need it you will probably not be able to make money with it.

Its a bit tricky for someone that doesn't have an idea of both, affiliate marketing is more like referring people to buy a product or service and when the person does you get a commission as agreed, but droppshipping is sell product you don't have, all you do is advertise the product fix your price and sell the product, then deliver the product from a store you know that have the product to the person that wants it. As you explain it very well but like to add bit in it that dropshipper is quite hard then affiliate marketing because in affiliate marketing you are not going to set target of purchase or buying while in dropshiping when you still connect to sales of purchase or buying.
